Sibling Program

SiblingsThis program allows Dr. Klempner to become familiar with the growth patterns of all of the children in your family and to make recommendations based on family history.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child get his or her first orthodontic check-up no later than age 7 because orthodontic problems are easier to correct when they are found early.

Often, children inherit family traits that lead to orthodontic problems. If we are already seeing one child in your family, we would like you to consider enrolling in our sibling program. This program allows Dr. Klempner to become familiar with the growth patterns of all of the children in your family and to make recommendations based on family history.

It's not always easy to tell by appearance alone if a child's bite is developing properly, which is one reason why this age is targeted. Here are some of the clues that tell us your child may need some orthodontic attention:

  • Early or late loss of baby teeth
  • Permanent teeth growing behind baby teeth
  • Difficulty in chewing or biting
  • Lower jaw biting to the side
  • Breathing through the mouth
  • Thumb or finger sucking
  • Crowded appearance of teeth
  • Jaws which are too far forward or back
  • Protruding teeth
Enrolling your other children in the sibling program is easy. Bring them along to your child's regular appointment and Dr. Klempner will take a quick peek and let you know what he thinks.

We'll record all siblings' names and birth dates and send you periodic reminders about office visits to have orthodontic growth and development evaluated. Siblings will receive e-mail birthday cards and be eligible for all of our contests and events.

That's all there is to it and there is no charge!

We all look forward to better serving your family's orthodontic needs.

School Lecture Program

Lecture ProgramAttention Teachers, Parents and Patients!
We are happy to announce that our staff is available to speak at your school about dental health issues. Arrangements can be made with Marci to bring this program into your classroom or even bring the class into our office! It's your choice! We are also currently working with the Girl Scouts of America program to educate the scouts about health issues so that they can receive their health badges.
