We feel strongly that using computer technology allows our team to give our undivided attention where it belongs - to our patients.

Preventive Care...

Many orthodontic problems can be prevented if treated early. Our early treatment program for children has enabled us to intercept developing problems and reduce the amount of time in future braces. Our strong philosophy of not extracting healthy permanent teeth is supported with the use of expanders and other functional appliances that work with a child's natural growth (ages 5-10).

Drs. Klempner and Amram are committed to helping adults achieve the smiles they have always wanted. Our doctors have achieved "Premier Provider" status with Invisalign®. In most cases, we can use clear aligners to achieve adult goals. The concept of "straight teeth - no braces" has become a reality at Coolsmiles Orthodontics.

Since opening our practice in 1978, Coolsmiles Orthodontics has been the choice of many health care professionals for their orthodontic needs. Over the years, Dr. Klempner and Dr. Amram have treated area dentists, their staff, and families. This is perhaps one of the finest compliments we receive.

Leaders in our field...

Both Dr. Klempner and Dr. Amram are board certified by the American Board of Orthodontists. This designation is given to doctors who have passed advanced exams and is currently attained by only 25% of the orthodontists worldwide.

Dr. Klempner is on the teaching faculty of both Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Department of Children's Dentistry and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Department of Orthodontics. He is also an attending doctor at University Hospital, St.Charles and Mather Memorial Hospital. He has published original articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics and the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics. He also lectures extensively on the topic of Early Treatment Techniques to orthodontists, pediatric dentists and general dentists. He has been a featured speaker at the American Association of Orthodonists annual meeting. Both Dr. Klempner and Dr. Amram are "Premier Invisalign Providers"- a designation only given to those practioners in the top 5% of the country. They have made numerous presentations to dentists on the topic of advanced Invisalign treatment techniques.

Contibutors to the community...

Dr. Amram and Dr. Klempner volunteer their time to many community and civic organizations. Dr.Amram is a volunteer for the "Make-a-Wish" foundation, an organization that grants seriously ill children their most cherished wishes. After being contacted by the foundation, he recently donated his time and expertise to provide a child in need with a beautiful smile. Dr.Amram is also active with the "Learning for Life" program: a program designed to prepare young adults to successfully handle the complexities of contemporary society by reinforcing the ideal that all doors are open to them. Dr. Klempner has been a longtime volunteer for "Operation Smile": a non profit international group comprised of health care providers that donate their time to provide reconstructive surgery and related health care to indigent children and adults born with cleft lips and palates in third world countries. He also volunteers his time as the staff orthodontist at the St.Charles Hospital cleft palate clinic and teaches orthodontics to their dental residents. Both Dr. Klempner and Dr. Amram are participants in the SmilesChangeLives community outreach program and donate their services to children that can not afford the benefits of a healthy beautiful smile.
